NW Truffle Dogs

The Oregon Truffle Festival leads in promoting the exclusive use of truffle dogs to ensure harvest of the highest quality truffles while preventing the environmental harm caused by raking. NW Truffle Dogs has partnered with the Oregon Truffle Festival to produce the Truffle Dog Training Seminar held at the Festival each January, and in the development of standards for certification of truffles harvested by trained truffle dogs.

Certified Hound Found Truffles

NW Truffle Dogs purchases certified Hound Found truffles for its own training aid production. Only dogs and handlers who have passed the MycoPilot Certification ^TM can sell truffles as Certified Hound Found ^TM . There is no requirment to complete any NW Truffle Dogs training programs to take the MycoPilot certification.

Occasionally we have a surplus of these premium truffles available for re-sale during the winter season. Please call to inquire. Restaurants desiring to use Certified Hound Found ^TM truffles are eligible to use the Certified Hound Found logo on their menus and promotional materials. This is an indication of ethical and sound harvest practices using only dogs and resulting in higher quality truffles. NW Truffle Dogs
