NW Truffle Dogs

The Oregon Truffle Festival leads in promoting the exclusive use of truffle dogs to ensure harvest of the highest quality truffles while preventing the environmental harm caused by raking. NW Truffle Dogs has partnered with the Oregon Truffle Festival to produce the Truffle Dog Training Seminar held at the Festival each January, and in the development of standards for certification of truffles harvested by trained truffle dogs.

MycoPilot Certification

ImageHaving the MycoPilot Certification tells the world that your dog is a bona fide truffle dog and the truffles you harvest are Certified Hound Found. The certification test gives you and your dog an opportunity to demonstrate your knowledge and proficiency at sound harvest practices that result in premium high quality truffles.

Truffles that are harvested by rake do not hold a candle to the intense aroma of hound found truffles. The MycoPilot Certificaton allows you to sell truffles under the HoundFound umbrella and help elevate Oregon truffles to their rightful place in the culinary truffle world.
